Start low, go slow
The golden rule of medical cannabis is to begin with the lowest effective dose and increase gradually, allowing time for the effect to appear (especially with edibles). This lowers the chance of unwanted effects such as anxiety, dizziness, or dry mouth.
Important precautions
Do not drive or operate machinery under the effects of cannabis. Always store it out of reach of children and pets, in its original child-resistant packaging. Talk to your physician if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking other medications, or have a mental-health history: cannabis can interact with other drugs.
