Methods of use

Flower, vaping, edibles, tinctures and topicals: how they differ.

Inhalation (flower and vaping)

With inhalation, effects are usually felt within minutes and last a shorter time, which makes it easier to adjust the dose. Burning flower produces smoke; vaporizing heats without burning and is perceived by many as gentler on the airways. No form of inhalation is risk-free.

Edibles and tinctures

Edibles go through digestion: they take longer to kick in (often 30 minutes to 2 hours) and last much longer. That makes it easy to take too much if you do not wait. Tinctures (drops under the tongue) offer a middle ground and let you measure the dose precisely.

Topicals

Creams, balms, and topical oils are applied to the skin and generally do not cause psychoactive effects when they are not transdermal. They are used mostly for localized areas. As with any medicinal product, follow your physician's guidance.
